It’s not that often that I make a direct request to pinkBFLO.com readers. This is an exception to that rule.
Artvoice is holding their Annual “Best of Buffalo” survey, and we really, REALLY want to win one. (Well, mostly Corey, since I’ve already won several times before for a little fundraiser I used to work on… but I want to win too).
Why vote for us? Let me make the case:
1) We’re new.
2) We’re the only Buffalo bloggers to have been featured on Perez Hilton, along with Queerty, Towleroad, and JoeMyGod. Yeah, who would have guessed!?
3) We’ve traveled across the state to bring you updates on politics, marriage equality, drag queens, Wendy Williams and Buffalo, NY. But mostly Wendy Williams.
4) Every success we’ve had so far has been wild and unlikely and fantastic, and this would be all of those and more. Imagine Mo’Nique winning an Academy Award, and you’ll get the idea.
5) One of my classmates just won an Olympic Gold Medal. I’m not bitter, but I’m really grasping at anything I can get my hands on.
6) I can’t wait for the argument over who gets to keep the winner’s plaque between Corey and I. If we win, I’ll record it and post it on YouTube as a bonus.
7) We both live in the city, and love the city, and want to showcase the city to a wider audience, hence the blog.
8) I am disturbingly competitive, and short of being cast on Survivor, I’ll take this.
