– A Health and Human Services committee has decided to recommend retaining the blood ban on men who have had sex with men, even once, since 1977. There appears to be some wiggle room in the recommendation that would allow for differentiating between low-risk and high-risk donors.

Buffalo Brunch, a community organization that advances LGBT civil rights education, chose two out standing Western New York’s to honor this year.
Bruce Kogan, long time employee of the New York State Crime Victim’s Board, and former Stonewall Democrats president, was given a community service award for his years of dedication to LGBT rights. [...]
